Biography

Dr. Mancini conducts research examining a diverse range of crime and policy topics. In particular, her scholarship centers on understanding the emergence and efficacy of crime laws and societal responses to offending. She has published over 30 studies in the areas of sex crime, victimization, public opinion, law, and most recently, campus crime and sexual assault. Her research appears in a variety of high quality journals such as Criminology, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, the Journal of Criminal Justice, Crime & Delinquency, and other outlets.
