Biography

Dr. Foorough is a researcher and a tutor at Flinders University. In 2008 Foorough was awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award to do her PhD on “Australian infants 4-8 months feeding patterns and associated factors” at Flinders University in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Foorough’s research interest is on early childhood growth and nutrition, childhood obesity prevention, nutrition epidemiology, dietary assessment methodology, prevention of chronic disease in particular closing the gap in health inequalities in ethnic groups and informing the policies and programs that promote health and wellbeing of migrants communities by applying the social determinants of health model.
