Biography

Dr. Wataru Yamori obtained his Ph.D. in 2007 at Osaka University in Japan. He held postdoctoral positions at the Australian National University in Australia (2007-2009) and at Tohoku University in Japan (2009-2013). He is currently an Associate Professor at Chiba University in Japan. His research focuses on the plant physiology involved in the regulation of photosynthesis under various environmental conditions, from the whole plant to gene levels. Especially, a major focus of his research is the identification of factors limiting photosynthesis, plant growth, and yield by transgenic manipulations of chloroplast carbon metabolism.
