Biography

Dr. Bhaskar Gupta completed his doctoral work at Bose Institute (Kolkata) was on the molecular and biochemical aspects of gene expression and cell signaling during salinity stress in rice cultivars. Our group identified the role of polyamine-mediated phosphorylation of transcription factors and kinase(s) as key signaling molecules in plant salt tolerance. He joined Presidency University (Kolkata) as an Asst. Professor in Biotechnology in 2012 and the focus of my research is plant abiotic stress.
