Biography

Dr. Logsdon is interested in understanding pancreatic diseases. He has made several original contributions to pancreatology including the first descriptions of primary acinar cultures; the first demonstration of direct effects of EGF, FGF, and TGFb, the discovery that human acinar cells lack CCK receptors, the first direct evidence of NFkB induced pancreatitis, the first studies on ER stress in pancreatitis, and the first direct proof that intracellular trypsin can initiate pancreatitis.
