Biography

Asatsa Stephen practicing Counseling Psychologist, Lecturer and researcher. I specialize in Trauma, and Thanatology. I also do research on youth and adolescents. My current research focuses on relationship between death attitudes and end of life planning. The aim is to help people prepare for their own death in order to promote quality death. I have also concluded a study on trauma processing strategies and post traumatic growth among survivors of Garissa terrorist attack. The aim is to deviate from the dominant pathological conceptualization of trauma and explore the positive transformation that trauma survivors experience.
