Hanaa El-Khayat currently works as the head of the Department of Environmental Research and Medical Malacology, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute. Hanaa does research in freshwater monitoring, biomarkers, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. Their current project is 'Biomarkers as indicators of environmental pollution: Expermintal approach and case studies'.
