Dr.Danina Muntean participates in the Mitofood project; a research community for nutritional optimization of mitochondrial function for health promotion and disease resistance. she  Expertise Cardioprotection by ischemic and pharmacological pre- and postconditioning mitochondria as targets of cardioprotection; smoking induced endothelial dysfunction and mechanisms of early pulmonary hypertension in COPD; bioactive foods and nutraceuticals in carcinogenesis and metabolic syndrome; sleep apnea from cardiovascular risk factor to brain preconditioning.
