Biography

Manuel J. Aybar working as Professor at National University of Tucumán, San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. Manuel J. Aybar is interested in the signals and genes involved in neural crest (NC) early development. Manuel J. Aybar currently investigating the role of Ihh/gli and Edn signaling in NC specification and migration using Xenopus embryos as a model organism. We use both molecular and embryological approaches to get insights on the mechanisms underlying the processes of NC development. We are also interested in developing genetic strategies for modification of non-conventional yeasts of industrial interest.
