Biography

Masayori Inouye received his B.A. degree in chemistry from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1958, his M.A. degree in biochemistry from Osaka University, in 1960 and his Ph.D. degree from Osaka University, in 1963. After working as a research associate at Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, from 1968 through 1971, Dr. Inouye accepted a position as associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook from 1971 through 1975. From 1975 through 1986 he was a professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the State University at Stony Brook.
